Melanie is a dreamer, soft, cuddly and all natural Atelier Lavendel doll.
She is an OOAK natural fibers art doll, standing 14 inches (36cm), designed and handmade by Atelier Lavendel with lots of love and attention to details.
Her head is soft sculptured of carded new wool in the Waldorf style. The body is stuffed with organic clean sheep wool, the “skin” is of high-quality cotton interlock from traditional Swiss manufacture. This doll is weighted for more lovely feel. She has tiny ears, a belly button and a sweet bum. I carefully hand embroidered her eyes with cotton embroidery thread. The long silky hair is made with doll mohair and wool locks. It can be gently finger combed.
Her pointed hat is crochet with a wonderfully structured ethicaly made wool/silk/mohair blend. This doll is wearing a dress of organic linen with embroidery, trousers of upcycled cashmere beneath, her shoes are made with pure wool, her fluffy cowl is graceful pale pink lace weight mohair. All her clothes are removable and washable. Melanie wears a necklace featuring a vintage picture, which is is safely put behind real glass. It can be put off.
I intended this handmade doll as a little treasure to display or as a special heirloom toy to an older child for gentle play.
