Heidy shell be one of my inspiration for this prototype doll, which is now in the making. It is a new pattern I am using for it, with some more advanced details in making but looking still traditional classic Waldorf style.
There are also some free spots in my bear making workshop on 26–27th May on the Seminar in Mennorode. This little guy on the picture below will be assisting us to bring into being your own sweet and cuddly original miniature artist bears. No bear making experience is required.
Looking forward to meet you in Mennorode!
Heidi has been a custom doll, made just for the little hands, standing 17 inches. Heidi travelled to her new home on a windy day to see the snowy mountains and to make a little girl smile. This doll is a traditional Atelier Lavendel Waldorf inspired doll, lovingly made by hand with lots attention to detail.
May light and love keep every house safe and happy!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2018 to all!
A beautiful and blessed Christmas time
full of angels to everyone!
Waldorf doll making workshop with North Coast Doll: two amazing days with Meglena of North Coast Dolls hosted by Debbie Pool (Little Oake Dolls) , two days full of creativity and best spirits seemed to pass much too quick. Enjoyed every single minute of them, absolutely!
A really special, great experience I can only point out to to everyone who loves Waldorf dolls. The welcoming atmosphere created by Meglena, generously sharing her exquisite skills, completed fairy-like with every background support by Debbie makes sure you feel really inspired and confident.
The first you see entering the workshop room is a friendly Meglenas smile, the dreamy face of the doll model (she is posing us in the garden on the first picture) and carefully prepared kits on the table including oh so pretty doll dresses made with natural linen and exquisite Liberty fabric, made by Maglena herself for every doll soul to be born within those walls this week-end.
Patience, keeping an eye on every detals and having an encouraging word for every one of us, this is Meglenas teaching in perfection. Thank you so much, Meglena for this wonderful experience! Wishing you all the best for the future!
And a very special tip: just have a look in Debbies supplies room. That is magical. Thank you Debbi for giving us a chance to explore it! There are amazing locks, which Debbie dyes by hand herself, new yarns in beautiful natural shades and amazing quality, pure wonderfully dyed felt and fabrics — just all the beauty you can imagine and a bit more.
As for me — as the day pass, in my heart are still staying all the magical impessions of this week-end and — of course, my new doll (the third picture). Just sitting here now and listening.
Already dressed up by my youngest, to be sure.
Wishing a wonderful creative time to you all!
A few days spent in Devon seems to have left back some precious jewels of memories to think of back again and yet again. The tea pots shelves in a tea shop in Newton Abbot, the magnificent view out of the art nouveau style comfortable Grand seats in Torquay, the taste of home made cones with clotted cream, the open sea behind the Parson and clerk rocks, traditional crafters of Cockingtone, the thatched roofs of Totnes and mists, mist and mists of the moor. Have we really heard the Baskerville hound around?…
This amazingly atmospheric area, surrounded by moors and the sea, with its towering red rocks and imaginable heather scent, old villages spread here and there and ever tempting smell of freshly fried fish makes altogether an amazing subtle but impressive mixture you just have to fall in love with. Thank you so very much Debbie and Marcus for all the warm welcome, for the warmth of your hearts , for sharing these mysteries!
With all this magic in my heart I have been best prepared to take in a new knowledge and a new experience. Creating an amazing doll soul with Meglena of North Coast Dolls in Newton Abbot — in the next post.
Wishing lovely last October day to all!
