Meet Mony! She is a 7 inch/18cm little Waldorf Inspired baby doll designed and handmade by me. I used mohair for her wonderful baby hair, organic cotton velvet for the clothing, organic sheep wool for stuffing and sturdy Swiss made doll making cotton tricot for the face. I love the rich and soft texture of that hat and of her shawl too — that is made with wool, silk and a bit mohair in dusty shades of blue, grey and pink. This baby loves it,
to put her hat off and to put it back again!
My very first Waldorf doll, which I made by myself looked like this: hand embroidered star-eyes, the hair made with mohair, sturdy though free movable arms and legs. All in all — very clear design, a safe and simple construction. Ready for free imaginative play, ready to be loved, be played with and to be treasured. That was the first dress up doll I gave to my children as they were little. And that was also a kind my very first handmade Waldorf dolls were made, which I offered for sale…
As a homage to this beautiful tradition and to this wonderful time — let me introduce to you Whity, the 13 inches OOAK Waldorf doll by Atelier Lavendel.
Whity wears a wide cotton dress with velcro fasteners, panties and and crochet shoes of plant-dyed wool. She brings an extra outfit, made with cotton fabric and plant-dyed wool: a dress, panties and another pair of shoes. Her cowl with a tassel is crochet of plant-dyed merino wool in light pink. I recommend this doll for children of age 3 +.
Whity is now awailable here.
A new pattern, a new face, a new smile — and one another Atelier Lavendel pocket doll is born.
Quite a little family of them, by the way! ; )
These 7 inch/18cm little dollies are designed and handmade by my with natural best quality possible materials and lots, lots of joy, love and care.
I used mohair for these wonderful locks, organic cottton jersey with a sweet apple pattern and soft organic cotton velvet for the clothing, organic sheep wool for stuffing and sturdy Swiss made doll making cotton tricot for the faces. I love their hats — they are made of a wool/silk blend and a bit mohair in dusty shades of rose, gray and purpur.
I have carefully hand embroidered the faces. All these girls have the sun-kissed skin tone.
Their clothings and the crochet hats can not be put off.
These pocket dolls can be gently hand washed in a basin with a mild soap.
They are now available here and here.

…And here is she — Honey. I thought, her name must be Honey.
I knew it, as soon as I saw her tiny face for the first time. Her eyes… And her hair!
Shiny shade of warm translucent brown, one of my favourite colours. Like the fresh honey in a jar, melting in the hot sun of July. I have made this hair with wonderful,
soft Dolly Mo mohair (love it! : ) ).
Honey is one-of-a-kind cloth doll, handmade by me. She stands approximately 8 inches (22cm). For my dolls I use my own patterns and natural, highest quality materials available.
This doll is made with high quality doll making cotton fabric and stuffed with organic clean sheep wool. Her hair is crocheted mohair wig, securely sewn onto her head. Her facial features are hand embroidered with a cotton floss.
Her polka dotted cotton dress is decorated with a crochet rose and has a rick-rack edge, her panties features a white rose bud; her shawl with a tiny silver bell is a little soft wonder in warm orange merino wool. It can be fastened with two crochet bands. Her shoes are hand sewn of pure wool felt and decorated with orange coral beads. All her clothes can be put off.
In her hair she is wearing a pink velvet head band.
Her very special heirloom is the orange coral necklace. Honey is always wearing it on her neck — for luck. Surely she would love to borrow it to her loving mom, who would be able to wear this gentle piece of handmade jewellery as a delicate and beautiful bracelet. Also for luck, of course! Coral is known for its property to ward off bad thoughts and to encourage the general well-being. Tiny 2,5mm genuine coral beads are strung here on a coral red silk cord with the ends left decoratively to fray. The coral necklace is to close securely and comfortably with a very decorative magnetic silver plated closure. This delicate bracelet is 7 inches long, so that it would make a sweet bracelet to a girl or a young woman.
Honey is now available here.
