I want you to meet Lenni and Max. Lenni is an OOAK waldorf natural fibers doll, standing 16 inches, handmade by Atelier Lavendel with lots love and care. Max is her tiny baby doll.
Lenni wears yellow polka dotted dress, decorated with original antique German Westphalian cotton lace, white-red stripped leggings of organic cotton, undies beneath and booties of green and white felt, made of pure wool. I made her large cowl with original Donegal Tweed. She loves her delicate vintage Scotch broche with sparkling marcasite’s , which she is using as a cowl closure. Her hair pin is decorated with a red hand felted rose of Australian finest merino wool. All her clothes are removable and washable.
Lenni´s special heirloom is her genuine red Coral neckace. Coral is believed to increase self-esteem and energy. Balances and dissipates negative energy. Promotes success, abundance and clear thinking, protective and lucky when worn as jewellery. Tiny 2,5mm Coral beads are strung here on a silk cord with the ends left decoratively to fray. This necklace is to close securely and comfortably with a magnetic silver metal closure. It is 7 inches long, so that it would make a sweet bracelet to a girl or young woman.
Lenni has blue eyes, which are carefully hand embroidered. Her hair is made with DollyMo mohair. It is crocheted into a cap with her braids fastened on both sides of her head pony-tails style. It can be restyled and gently combed. This doll has a neck, ears, a belly button and a sweet bum. Her head is soft sculptured of clean organic sheep wool. Through the inner armature in her neck the head is slightly movable, gentle but most expressive gestures and expressions are possible. The body is firmly stuffed with 100% organic pure wool; the “skin” is of high-quality 100% cotton interlock from traditional Swiss manufacture.
Her shoulder bag with a lamp work mushroom pendant is crochet wit my favourite ethically made wool/silk/mohair fibre. Tiny friend of Lenny, she calls her Max, is usually sitting in this carry bag quite still and looking around. Max is wearing light blur overall of organic cotton velvet, which can not be put off. Her hat and cowl of gorgeous wool/wild silk blend in gentle shades of green and beige, as well as her tiny blanket of lace weight mohair can be put off. Her hair of DollyMo mohair can be gently finger combed.
This doll is made to be a companion and a true play mate within a free imaginative play and can be hand washed in a basin with a mild soap. Because of her delicate hair I recommend spot cleaning as long time as possible.
Lenni and Max are now available here.

Waldorf doll making workshop with North Coast Doll: two amazing days with Meglena of North Coast Dolls hosted by Debbie Pool (Little Oake Dolls) , two days full of creativity and best spirits seemed to pass much too quick. Enjoyed every single minute of them, absolutely!
A really special, great experience I can only point out to to everyone who loves Waldorf dolls. The welcoming atmosphere created by Meglena, generously sharing her exquisite skills, completed fairy-like with every background support by Debbie makes sure you feel really inspired and confident.
The first you see entering the workshop room is a friendly Meglenas smile, the dreamy face of the doll model (she is posing us in the garden on the first picture) and carefully prepared kits on the table including oh so pretty doll dresses made with natural linen and exquisite Liberty fabric, made by Maglena herself for every doll soul to be born within those walls this week-end.
Patience, keeping an eye on every detals and having an encouraging word for every one of us, this is Meglenas teaching in perfection. Thank you so much, Meglena for this wonderful experience! Wishing you all the best for the future!
And a very special tip: just have a look in Debbies supplies room. That is magical. Thank you Debbi for giving us a chance to explore it! There are amazing locks, which Debbie dyes by hand herself, new yarns in beautiful natural shades and amazing quality, pure wonderfully dyed felt and fabrics — just all the beauty you can imagine and a bit more.
As for me — as the day pass, in my heart are still staying all the magical impessions of this week-end and — of course, my new doll (the third picture). Just sitting here now and listening.
Already dressed up by my youngest, to be sure.
Wishing a wonderful creative time to you all!
A few days spent in Devon seems to have left back some precious jewels of memories to think of back again and yet again. The tea pots shelves in a tea shop in Newton Abbot, the magnificent view out of the art nouveau style comfortable Grand seats in Torquay, the taste of home made cones with clotted cream, the open sea behind the Parson and clerk rocks, traditional crafters of Cockingtone, the thatched roofs of Totnes and mists, mist and mists of the moor. Have we really heard the Baskerville hound around?…
This amazingly atmospheric area, surrounded by moors and the sea, with its towering red rocks and imaginable heather scent, old villages spread here and there and ever tempting smell of freshly fried fish makes altogether an amazing subtle but impressive mixture you just have to fall in love with. Thank you so very much Debbie and Marcus for all the warm welcome, for the warmth of your hearts , for sharing these mysteries!
With all this magic in my heart I have been best prepared to take in a new knowledge and a new experience. Creating an amazing doll soul with Meglena of North Coast Dolls in Newton Abbot — in the next post.
Wishing lovely last October day to all!
